The layout is equipped with an automatic lighting system that can reproduce the illumination of various moments of the day.
The different shades of light allow you to recreate the time passing, offering an always changing view of the layout. This is made possible by using different LED light sources with different tones: warm white, cool white, RGB, ultraviolet light.
The Arduino board constantly monitors the passage of time and updates the light output from each of these sources, mixing the different contributions in a very realistic way. In addition, a system of heat dissipation allows to keep the LEDs within a temperature range such as to ensure an excellent level of performance even with the layout closed by the front glass.
The high currents required for the power supply of the LEDs are ensured by a power MOSfet board that, having an 8-bit resolution, let LED sources with 255 light gradations. The possible combinations of colors are 2556 = 2,7x1014 = 270.000.000.000.000!!!
You also can customize the duration of each single phase of the day, as well as the duration of time required for the transition from one phase to the next. In this way you have complete control over the light reproduction that can satisfy all requirements of reproduction and exposition of the layout to the public.
